Hsinchu was once called ‘Chuchien’, meaning seashore in the aboriginal Taokas language. It is a distinct city with a stretch of coastline and 18 Peaks Mountain. The winds of September flow out the unique thin rice noodles and the Hakkas residing in Hsinchu city add even more richness of culture and delicacies to the city. And the scenic spots along the coast have been renovated in recent years to provide more fun for families with kids to go to.

Located in the eastern district of Hsinchu city, Far Eastern Big City shopping center is an all-inclusive recreational spot that integrates department stores, hypermarkets, supermarkets and movie theaters.

Hsinchu City God Temple
